12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.
The church planting is part of the expansion of the Kingdom of God, therefore, it will always face opposition (Ephesians 6: 11-12). Sometimes adversity is political, economical or social, but under each of these masks there is a spiritual confrontation.
The world, satan and sinful desires are opposed to the expansion of the Kingdom of God. This affront is useless in the panoramic perspective, but that does not mean it is not real and strong (Matthew 11:12).
As a church we have decided, in 2017, to leave our comfort, review our own hearts and intensify our evangelistic work. Therefore, we have started two things: a Membership Renewal process and an Intentional Multiplication process.
The Renewal of Membership is intended to celebrate the baptism of new believers, the membership of new assistants, and the renewal of commitment of those who are already members so we can exalt God with a healthy membership.
Intentional Multiplication aims to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20). Today we have an average attendance of 40 adults in a space for 5o people. And therefore we want to multiply three things: servant leaders, believers and room.
Both the Renewal of Membership and the Intentional Multiplication have begun to meet with opposition: discouragement, folly, unconfessed sin, pride, temptations, strife, envy, and so on. We trust that nothing can stop the expansion of the Kingdom, and we do not surrender to the challenge, that’s why I ask for your prayers.
Thanks for being part of this plantation! I firmly believe that without your intercession and the grace of God we could not perform this work. Here I specifically ask you how you can pray for us:
- We ask for members and friends at Casa de Restauración. Pray that God will give us strength and courage to live the Christian life and share your faith.
- We ask you for grace in difficult conversations. As part of the Renewal of Membership we have the task of confronting the sin of the members of the congregation. We want to do it with truth and grace.
- We ask for the people who serve. So they do not be discouraged by personal or ministerial adversity.
Thank you! I really appreciate your prayer if you like to stay informed and encourage us with any comments you can do here: Casa de Restauración
